Melon Margarita Recipe

Mar 04, 2014

Melon Margarita Recipe

With the St. Patrick’s Day festivities right around the corner, we wanted to come up with a green cocktail that didn’t involve beer. I hear that a lot of places serve beer with green food coloring and we still aren’t sure how we feel about that one.

Don’t worry this green bevvy uses a melon liqueur to give it that gorgeous emerald hue.

For this Melon Margarita recipe you’ll start by adding ice to a shaker along with 1 oz tequila, 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice .5 oz simple syrup, .5 oz triple sec and .5 oz melon liqueur, such as Midori. Shake vigorously until the liquid is thoroughly chilled and your arms are a tad tired. Pour into a rocks glass that has been rimmed with course salt or sugar.  Enjoy!
