Mexican Horchata Recipe For Cinco De Mayo

pinata

When it comes to Cinco De Mayo, we usually think margaritas! But, there are so many other festive drinks to be enjoyed. Horchata is a cinnamon infused beverage. If you’re looking for a cocktail, this recipe can easily be modified by adding 1.5 oz of your favorite vanilla vodka.

We’ve teamed up with Silk to bring you this festive recipe. Silk has compensated The Flair Exchange for our time, photos and original recipe ideas. While this is a sponsored post, please know that we still create original content and all of the opinions and ideas are our own!

Horchata is traditionally made from soaked rice, but we’ve created a unique recipe that blends some of our favorite non dairy milks! For this recipe we’ve used a rice & almond blend along with Silk Coconutmilk. This does take a little it of prep work, but the delicious results are so worth it!

Step 2: Mix 2 Cups of hot water and rice/almond mixture and allow to soak overnight ( or 8 hours )

Step 3: Strain liquid from rice and almond mixture, removing all solids.
