When I think of Oktoberfest, two things immediately come to mind: huge soft pretzels and beer. So, I knew that I wanted to incorporate at least one of these things into today’s DIY post. I started thinking of how to creatively use pretzels as place cards, and a thought popped into my head. They are the perfect shape to act as an edible napkin holder! And what goes better with soft pretzels than honey mustard? So, that is what I used to write the guests’ names on their place cards.
Oktoberfest Pretzel Napkin Holder and Place Card DIY
Supplies:
A large soft pretzel
Honey mustard (it is best if you can find one with a thin tip, this will make the writing easier)
Napkins – I chose blue to go with the Oktoberfest color palette
Step 1: Slide your napkin through the two holes of your soft pretzel. Loop it underneath the middle section of the pretzel to get the look above.
Step 2: Begin writing your guests’ names on the middle section of your soft pretzels. The great part about using honey mustard is that you can easily wipe up any mistakes you make!
Step 3: Continue step 2 until you have finished the guests’ names.
Serve with your favorite pumpkin ale, invite your friends, and enjoy!
